Arduino-Code to a man's mind?

I always admired men who had a nack for a handiwork. Trade people always seemed like they knew how to get things done. Almost magical in a way. I found myself on the paying end of things rather than the self-motivated successful side. I was good with electronics and I was a good learner. So I spent my 20's focusing on learning, when that didnt get me very far I started to focus on electronics. I had been interested in computers for many years, but I found the average day to day computing kind of dull and lacking in challenge. Enter Arduino. This is an open platform that allows people to build there own electronics. Perhaps I could take my education and my love for electronics and finally find something that would turn me into a man that was magical. Now Arduino is an open source platform, meaning anyone can add to it. It does require some knowledge of computer programming and some electrical knowledge to get started.....that being said I definitely can say you dont need either of...

Lotus Pond Sticker

This is a simple item that allows someone to switch between different devices and it wont cost you a fortune to buy. In my example I have an office monitor and on the other side of my office I have a rec-room tv. I am able to use this to switch between the different inputs without having to unplug and play with different chords.

Electromagnet

A electromagnet is a magnet that becomes magnetic when you apply electricity to it. You can link it to something like a WEMO switch and then you suddenly have a smart lock that you can control from a smart phone and didnt have to pay $150 for.

So you like gadgets eh

So this is a different sort of blog. I still intend to write my normal ones about family and so fourth, but this one follows my love of all things gadget related. I love me some do dads. Always have. I like things that make life easier or flashier or more compelling. Its just a strong part of my life and something I would like to share-so I will post things that I enjoyed just cause I like sharing this type of thing.
